The Snake is #1 on the UK 12″ Singles Chart!
For decades I’ve been collaborating with producer and DJ Joaquin “Joe” Claussell. Joe is a legend in the Deep House and World House music worlds. We’ve made hundreds of records together. Today we learned that his recent remix of Fatback Band’s song “The Snake” is #1 on the UK 12″ Singles chart. I contributed multiple keyboard tracks, including clavinet and a Hammond organ solo to this track, and I engineered the trumpet solo by my friend David Smith. Joe is the genius behind the remix and arrangement, and he contributes vocals, programming and percussion. Joe and long-time partner engineer Fran Cathcart did the mix.
