This tune is dedicated to my middle and high school band teacher “Uncle Ken,” who instilled in me a love of jazz. Ken is a trombonist (and bassist); the melody of this song is based on a rhythmic riff he often played on his trombone.
Join us at this outdoor, family-friendly concert at an astounding Prospect Park South Japanese architectural-style historic house for an afternoon of swing, shuffle, boogaloo and more organ-grinding fun. This concert is presented by the nice folks at Operation Gig, a crucial non-profit who supports working musicians by presenting live music in and around Ditmas Park, BK.
