    Jonathan Parker Quartet

    Several years ago I started hearing the sweet sounds of jazz alto saxophone emanating from a balcony in the building next door. Eventually, I called up and introduced myself to neighbor Jonathan Parker. Last fall we started playing together in my backyard for fun; tomorrow, Saturday, 4/10, we’ll be playing Jonathan’s music from the porch of an architecturally interesting house in Prospect Park South as part of Operation Gig.

    Ethan Eubanks’ Detroit Grease Organ Trio returns for a series of Thursday night, outdoor street parties in front of Hometown BBQ in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  Join us for some tasty BBQ and sides, drinks, swinging soulful music and an incredible view of the Statue of Liberty and the Sunset.

    The band plays every Friday, 6-9pm- I’ll be with them every other week starting 4/29.

    NY Magazine called The Loyales “A living, breathing jukebox, full of expertly curated 45s.”  Our playlist includes classic soul, Stax and Motown, classic country and bluegrass, vintage reggae and some choice 80’s favorites.  We rarely showcase in public- mostly we play hipster weddings and swanky corporate parties. So come join us in Hipster Red Hook for an intimate evening of scaled-down acoustic music.

    No cover charge- donations appreciated.
